A New Chapter at APA
01.10.2026
After almost 15 years of dedicated work at Alex Poulsen Architects, Jonas Hviid Mønster has decided to pursue new challenges.
During his time at APA, Jonas has taken on a variety of roles and has been a valued sparring partner across many of our projects. A shared passion for understanding and rethinking our clients’ needs has been a key driving force throughout our collaboration. Together, we have laid the foundations for a wide range of projects and, along the way, pushed the boundaries of what we thought possible.
A strong professional foundation – and a clear direction
APA continues with a clear focus on what has been a defining strength of the practice for decades: creating architecture for people in complex environments, where function, safety and specific user needs place exceptional demands on both process and design.
Drawing on extensive experience across a broad range of projects – from new-build developments to the renovation and transformation of existing buildings – APA creates environments with a strong focus on functionality, quality and spatial experience. At the heart of our work is a fundamental understanding of how the physical environment influences human behaviour, well-being and opportunity.
It is at the intersection of these considerations that we see particular potential: when safety and complexity are approached not as constraints on architecture, but as essential parameters for creating better architecture.
This specialised approach has long been part of APA’s DNA and has been further strengthened by Sonia Bom’s particular interest in and dedication to developing knowledge at the intersection of safety, healing architecture, human well-being and behaviour.
APA will continue to build on this strong professional foundation: combining an in-depth understanding of safety, user behaviour and complex functional requirements with an uncompromising commitment to architectural and spatial quality. The ambition is to create environments that make a positive difference to the people who use them.
We would like to thank Jonas for his many years of dedication to APA and wish him all the very best in the new challenges ahead.
